New all-party parliamentary construction group chair elected

The all-party parliamentary group for construction has and elected and a new chair Claire Curtis-Thomas -Labour MP for Crosby.
The APPG was formed in March 2004 as a discussion forum on construction issues - including health and safety, education and training - and a means of communication between MPs and the Sector Skills Council.

The meeting was attended by MPs, industry reformer Sir Michael Latham, Peter Lobban of CITB-ConstructionSkills and Graham Watts and Stuart Henderson form the Construction Industry Council.
