New company to drive Ashford growth

English Partnerships director Robyn Pyle will be appointed chairman of an new company to be set up to improve the delivery of Ashford’s Future partnership.

The proposed new limited company will be set up jointly by Ashford Borough Council, Kent County Council, SEEDA and English Partnerships.

It will will operate under the direction of the Ashford’s Future Board to deliver infrastructure projects and promote mixed use development in Ashford town centre.

Chairman of the Ashford’s Future partnership, councillor Paul Clokie said: “Through creating a new company to deliver projects the capacity of the partnership will be strengthened.

"This should give us all greater confidence that key projects will be delivered on time and to budget and should encourage further investment.”
