New marina plans made public

Plans for a £42.5 million marina village in Larne, County Antrim have been unveiled.

The development will feature a 200-berth marina, a hotel, 121 houses and a revamped promenade.

East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson said: "Having studied the amended plans for the proposed Larne Marina Village, it seems clear to me that Larne could greatly benefit from this £40m asset that creates major new tourism opportunities for the area."

The original proposals, from ten years ago, have been amended to the satisfaction of Larne Borough Council and will now go to public consultation.
