New taskforce

A Government-backed apprenticeship taskforce designed to plug skills shortages in construction was launched this week.

Carillion operations director Roger Robinson will be a key member of the National Modern Apprenticeship Taskforce. Chancellor Gordon Brown first revealed plans for the taskforce in his pre-Budget statement in December. It will report back to the Government with its findings in July.
