Sir Robert McAlpine's Aura consortium has bagged a £180 million contract for the construction and refurbishment of 16 schools across Newcastle upon Tyne. The contract is the largest ever awarded by Newcastle City Council and is funded through a PFI and the Building Schools for the Future programme.
