North Midland sees record start to year


A STRONG start at North Midland Construction's building arm helped the Nottinghamshire-based contractor turn a profit of £1.1 million in the first quarter of 2006 ? up 12.4 per cent on a year ago.

First-quarter profits and turnover at Nor th Midland Building are up 1,500 per cent and 227 per cent respectively.

Chairman Robert Moyle said: 'We have ambitious growth targets for this financial year but I am confident that we will achieve them.' M&E firm Nomenca saw profits up 31 per cent and work load rising 67 per cent in the quarter.
