Local demolition firm Connell Brothers is coming to the end of a £2 million contract to tear down a 22-storey tower block for Manchester University. The city centre site was previously home to the maths department and in its place a school of nursing and a 1,000-place accommodation block will go up. Laing O'Rourke is preferred contractor.
