Nuttall given telehandler rail approval

CONTRACTOR Nuttall has received rail safety approval for the road-rail adaptation of a Merlo Roto telehandler.

The machine, converted by Nuttall's Kilsyth depot and plant manager John Gladstone, allows the contractor to lift materials using a variety of attachments.

The telehandler has a safe load indicator.

Mr Gladstone said: 'We felt there would be a real benefit to using a telehandler and gaining access via the rails themselves.

'Finchpalm and the North Western Structures Alliance are already looking to use it for signal erection work.'
