Oil blast rebuilding

A HERTFORDSHIRE builder has taken on one of the first rebuilding projects in the wake of the huge explosion last December at the Buncefield oil depot.

The Jarvis Group of Harpenden has won a deal believed to be worth around £1.5 million to build offices and a new factory for metal coating specialist PCD Products.

The metal firm's previous headquarters were a few hundred yards from the depot near Hemel Hempstead and were severely damaged in the blast.
