Olof Persson new president of Volvo construction equipment

Volvo construction equipment has a new president after Tony Helsham moved out of the job.

Olof Persson will take responsibility of the division beginning 1 November. He is currently president of the company’s Aero division.

Mr Helsham will remain with the group on its Executive Committee with a responsibility to grow its “soft” products. He spent 24 years working in the construction equipment and the last eight in his current role.

Mr Persson has been with Volvo since 2006 and has previously held executive positions within the Bombardier Group, ABB and the Daimler-Chrysler Group.
