A Genie Z-80/60 articulated diesel boom on hire to Drayton Manor theme park in Tamworth, Staffordshire is being used for an inspection of the 25 m high G-Force ride. Every year 10 per cent of all bolts are checked for torque as part of a rigorous safety programme. The boom is part of The Platform Company's £30 million order from Genie. More on page 20.
