County Durham-based engineer Tanfield Group is planning major growth for its newly acquired platform manufacturer, UpRight.

The firm proposes to build a global access brand by combining the UpRight range of self-propelled platforms with sister company Aerial Access's range of trailer booms and truck-mounts. The business will be based in the former LG Electronics plant in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
