Open Doors 2019: Sites now taking public bookings

Visitors can now register to visit sites including Wates’s Wembley Park residential development and Kier’s University of Brighton multi-storey car park as part of Open Doors Week.

The Build UK event aims to inspire people to consider careers in construction by letting the public see inside sites, factories and offices across the country.

It will take place from 18-23 March.

Build UK chief executive Suzannah Nichol said: “Bookings are now open for Open Doors 2019, which offers a fantastic opportunity to have a closer look at not only some of Great Britain’s most exciting construction projects, but also a chance to hear first-hand about what is on offer if you follow the path into construction.

“Please spread the word and encourage your friends and family to visit a site to see for themselves what working in construction entails.”

The initiative is led in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board and supported by official media partners Construction News.
