Palestinian campaigners occupy Cat show stand

ACTIVISTS protesting the use of Caterpillar machines in the demolition of Palestinian homes staged another public display against the manufacturer at last week's Saltex landscaping show in Windsor.

Protesters 'occupied'machinery on Cat dealer Finning's site, with several chaining themselves to the plant, including one wearing a bicycle lock around his neck.

The protest was ended when show security armed with bolt cutters removed them from the site. In January five activists charged with antisocial behaviour appear before magistrates.

One protester said: 'We will continue to protest wherever Cat tries to push its brand.'
