Up to £400m of work is available from a consortium of West Midlands councils and schools.
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for firms to carry out building repairs, maintenance and construction services in a partnering arrangement for seven years, with an option for three year extension.
They will be expected to drive efficiencies through the supply chain, promote waste reduction and standardisation and invest local training and job opportunities.
Solihull is additionally acting on behalf of: Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council; Aston Manor Academy; Holyhead School; Sutton Coldfield Girls School; Stratford-on-Avon District Council; Warwickshire County Council and Coventry City Council. Other public bodies may join the contract later.
Works on offer are valued at between £30m to £400m and include redecoration, plastering, roofing, window replacement, flooring, landscaping, plumbing, brickwork and other associated general building trades on public buildings and schools.
Tenderers will need a track record of this type of work and to hold similar partnering contracts of this value.
