PEOPLE

MOWLEM: Keith Watson has been appointed by John Mowlem Construction as regional director responsible for building operations in Yorkshire and Humberside. He was previously a contracts manager with Birse Construction.

Also at Mowlem, Jim Barrack has been appointed a director of Mowlem Facilities Man- agement. He will be responsible for facilities management in the private sector and was previously business development director.

AMEY: Ann Mantz has been promoted to the position of company secretary. She joined Amey in 1990 and has been deputy company secretary since 1995. She takes over the post from David Cawthorne. Mr Cawthorne remains as finance director.

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION: Michael Thomas is the associations new director. He will take over from Harry Simpson, who is retiring in April. Mr Thomas is a chartered electrical engineer and, until recently, was a Rear Admiral in the Royal Navy.

ADMIRAL HOMES: Nigel Davies is the firms new sales and marketing director. He succeeds Paul Masters, who has joined the advertising industry. Mr Davies has worked for Crest Homes and the House Builders Federation.

R B FARQUHAR: The Glasgow-based building company is restructuring. Trevor Clark, currently in charge of the UK division, takes over as head of European operations.

John OMeara has been appointed head of business development for the groups core contracting division. He was previously with Wimpey.

Gary Collins has been appointed general manager for England and Wales and will be based in Leeds.

And Michael Shand has been made commercial manager for Scotland and Ireland.
