UCS Civils is laying 150 m of 3 m-diameter pipes as part of the regeneration of the former Beighton Colliery near Rotherham for Renaissance South Yorkshire.The pipes each weigh 5.1 tonnes.They are being laid in three 50 m-long banks at a depth of 6 m to form the surface water storage on the 11 ha site.Work started in April and is due for completion in August.
