Plans released for Chesterfield FC's Saltergate Stadium

A draft proposal has been unveiled for Chesterfield Football Club’s existing home ground after plans for its relocation were approved earlier this month.

The club will move from the complex to a new stadium on the former Dema Glass site, in Chesterfield – plans for which are being developed by the club with Wilson Bowden Developments.

A draft planning brief for the current ground, Saltergate Stadium, has been drawn up by the council and is out to consultation until mid-October.

It suggests the site be redeveloped to include up to 150 new homes, commercial office units and open space.
