Plans unveiled for £100m Wakefiled regeneration scheme

Architectural practice Carey jones has unveiled a detail masterplan for the £100 million Westgate regeneration scheme in Wakefield city centre, west Yorkshire.
The scheme is a joint venture between the English Cities Fund and Wakefield Council and reveals details for the potential relocation of Westgate railway station.

The 7 ha mixed use site will accommodate approximately 30,000 sq m of offices, 24,000 sq m of residential, retail and leisure elements including bars, cafes, restaurants and a five-storey hotel.
