Police pore over CCTV tapes in hunt for bombers

Detectives are scrutinising 2,500 tapes of CCTV footage today, in the hope of discovering vital clues which might identify the London bombers.
Scotland Yard confirmed officers were starting the painstaking task of reviewing images from across the capital, as scores of families continued to await news of loved ones feared dead following the bombings.

Prime Minister Tony Blair yesterday denounced the 'murderous carnage of the innocent' and confirmed that at least 52 people died in last Thursday's attacks on the No 30 bus and three Tube trains.
