A Gleeson worker fixes reinforcement bars on the site of an Olympic-sized swimming pool being built by the firm as part of the £26 million K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, West Sussex.The 4.9 ha site will include a 50 m pool and a competition standard athletics track with grandstand seating.

Commissioned by client Crawley Borough Council, the leisure centre will also include fun and learner swimming pools, a gym, an indoor bowls hall, a 12-court sports hall, five squash courts, dance studios, changing facilities and external parking for up to 360 cars.The most striking feature of the site will be a fully glazed, four storeyhigh climbing wall within the entrance to the centre.The leisure centre is due for completion next summer.
