Pope seriously ill after heart failure

Pope John Paul II has suffered heart failure and is in a very Serious condition, the Vatican announced.
The statement came hours after the pontiff's health took a turn for the worse with a high fever caused by a urinary infection.

The Vatican said the Pope earlier had 'a cardio-vascular collapse,' which suggests a serious heart problem, but was now stable.
