Port expansion given go-ahead

Portsmouth City Council has given the go-ahead to build a £15 million passenger terminal at the city’s continental ferry port.

The new building will incorporate a bar, shops and a currency exchange outlet.

Contracts are expected to go out to tender next year and the project is due to be finished by the end of 2010.
