Price war as Asda cuts petrol by 3p a litre

Supermarket Asda slashed petrol prices by 3p a litre at its forecourts today and triggered a possible price war.
The move to 76.9p a litre for unleaded - the lowest price since April last year - prompted Tesco to also cut their prices.

Asda said its latest reduction, which comes into force at its 150 service stations across Britain, is the result of an over-supply in the market.
