Prison service contract call

The Northern Ireland Prison Service is inviting bids for a maintenance and minor works contract worth up to £8 million.

The winning bidder will be responsible for planned and emergency maintenance along with minor development works at several prisons and other facilities managed by the service.

With a value expected to fall between £3.6 million and £8 million, the contract will run for three years with the option for two 12 month extensions.

The service expects to shortlist five applicants. The deadline for requests to take part is 7 April.
