Project bank account study now due January

A STUDY on project bank accounts has been delayed until January after concerns from major contractors over the scope of the research.

The study, being carried out by consultant Bucknall Austin, is expected to highlight potential savings of up to 2.5 per cent through using the collaborative procurement method.

It was due to be published this month but it is understood to have been delayed following concerns from the Construction Confederation, which wanted Bucknall Austin to consult its members.

One source said: 'It is a wider ranging report now.'
