An 850-tonne Terex Demag AC2100 crane from Quigley UK has been used to lift the main roof section on Laing O'Rourke's £43 million extension to Manchester United's Old Trafford football ground. The Runcorn-based crane hirer was employed by Padken Steel for steelwork fabricator William Hare to install the 52-tonne section, which carries the main roof trusses for an extension that will increase capacity to 76,000.
