Rail windfall

NEWS - IN BRIEF

Network Rail has awarded seven firms framework deals for minor civil engineering works that could be worth more than £100 million. The winners are Amalgamated Construction, Dean & Dyball, Murphy, Nuttall, Construction Marine, south London outfit B & M McHugh, and Rotherham firm DMQA. The deals include nearly £50 million of work in the first year, and will last for three years.
