Ram Lock is on the Case

CASE UK has joined the battle against crime by offering its customers a range of security products. The range, manufactured by Sussex-based TLD, is designed to deter thieves from stealing machines off-site or from compounds.

Ram Lock (above) fits over a fully extended steering ram and is held in place by a steel retaining pin. It is secured using a fully armoured heavy-duty box lock, making it impossible for a backhoe loader or a wheeled loader to be steered in a straight line.

A second product, the Metal Track Lock kit, uses an extended spider lock attached to a metal bracket welded to the machines undercarriage. It locks the tracks securely in position.

The Rubber Track Lock kit consists of a mounting plate, shackle and a fully armoured, heavy-duty lock box. A breaker/attachment lock is available for boom-mounted hydraulic breakers and other attachments.

Engineering insurer National Vulcan is offering discounts on premium rates and reduced excess charges for machines fitted with a TLD security device.
