Record results

House builder Bellway is on course to top last year's record results for the year ending July 31. In 2002 the company achieved its best ever results with turnover up 11.1 per cent to £773 million from £695.7 million in 2001. The firm, which covers most parts of the UK, said demand for homes was strong particularly in June and July this year, despite fears of a slowdown in the housing market in the south of England. Bellway will carry forward an order book worth £380 million, up 17 per cent on last year.
