More than 300 construction workers remembered colleagues killed on building sites this year during a memorial gathering at St Paul's Cathedral last week. Cranes across London lowered their jibs for an hour in tribute during the vigil, organised by construction union Ucatt . General secretary George Brumwell called for a minute's silence before launching a ferocious attack on employers and clients over rising death rates on sites.
