RICS backs 'greener' buildings

Developers are being urged to back 'greener buildings' in an international study published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors today.
The report highlights how green buildings could earn higher rents and prices, cut tenant turnover and could cost less to operate and maintain.

RICS chief executive Louis Armstrong said: 'This research shows that the interests of business and the environment can converge and the property and construction industries have leading role to play in tackling climate change.'
