Riley Consulting has acquired cost consultancy Robert C Brown and opened a new Scottish hub as part of a steady UK expansion drive.
The move follows an incursion into building surveying with the merger of its surveying firm Grant & Partners with Mills & Wood (to form Grant Mills Wood) back in August.
Hamilton-based Robert C Brown will operate as a separate entity until it is formerly merged with cost consultancy Henry Riley, late in 2009.
Robert C Brown said it hopes the alliance would enable it to win larger projects.
Meanwhile the Riley Consulting said it continues to expand further “both organically and by acquisition” and was “looking at opportunities throughout Great Britain”.
November will see the firm make its first foray into design with a new space planning and design consultancy called ARC.
