Road gang's traffic gaffe fine

A BRITISH Gas road gang put the public at risk when they directed traffic the wrong way down a one-way street, Newham Council told Stratford magistrates last week.

British Gas pleaded guilty and was fined £900 with £200 costs. It is the second time in two years that the council has brought charges against the company for unsafe management of roadworks.
