Roofers help AIDS kids

PEOPLE

A TEAM from Northumberland-based Matthew Charlton Slaters has just returned from Romania after roofing a new orphans' hospice for children infected with HIV/AIDS.

Matthew Charlton managing director Angus Charlton said: 'After arranging a first donation of sanitary ware to the charity, I went out to see some of the children for myself.

'After witnessing a little girl slip through the last 10 minutes of her tragically brief life, I could not resist helping out however I could.' The firm is looking for donations to continue work and Lafarge Roofing is the latest supporter with a £3,000 contribution. For more information visit www. cryinthedark.co. uk.
