Rota Handling sold

PLANT

LLOYDS British Testing has bought Dudley-based Rota Handling for an undisclosed sum.

The £1 million-turnover firm will become the Lloyds Rota division of Lloyds British, which has a turnover of £17 million.

Rota, which provides lifting and handling services to the steel, water, rail, aerospace and construction sectors, is Lloyds' first acquisition since it was returned to private hands in February.

Chief Executive Ian White said: 'It is our intention to add further niche acquisitions over the next 12 months.'
