Safety demand


Nearly 50 MPs have called for company directors to be made responsible for health and safety duties in the Government's corporate manslaughter legislation.

Labour backbencher Ian Stewart's parliamentary motion says the move would 'ensure company directors who neglect health and safety to the point of causing death or serious injury can be prosecuted'.
