Schools prize


Two consortia have submitted bids for a £90 million Private Finance Initiative schools project near Manchester.

Manchester City Council shortlisted Shepherd's Axiom team and a partnership between Galliford Try and Bilfinger Berger in August last year alongside troubled support services firm Jarvis, which is no longer bidding for the deal.A preferred bidder is expected in August 2005.
