Setback for CITB fund raising plan

PLANS to revamp CITBConstructionSkills' National Construction College in Norfolk are facing another six months in limbo after a planning inquiry into the development was adjourned last week.

The training organisation wants to sell part of its Bircham Newton campus as land for 250 houses to raise £13 million to help renovate ageing accommodation on the site. Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Council is opposed to the proposals.

The planning inquiry was due to finish last week but was incomplete. It is now scheduled for a further four days in September.

A council spokesman said: 'We wanted this decided.'
