SGB sells Youngman to its management

Access equipment hirer Youngman has been bought by a management team for an undisclosed sum.
The Essex-based firm was sold by it parent company SGB Group to a team led by Paul Bentley who was previously managing director of Ruberoid Building Products. He is supported by Chris Owen, a former director of Pro-tec Windows UK, the incumbent managing director John Bungay and finance director Jerry Stapleton.

Matrix Private Equity Partners and HSBC provided the funding for the deal. Youngman turned over £37 million last year and employs 300 people.
