Balfour Beatty subsidiary Stent will carry out piling works with Cleveland Bridge signed up to carry out the steelwork.
Dutch cladding contractor Scheldebouw has been confirmed as the winner of the facades package while Kone will carry out the lifts work.
The scheme, known as London Bridge Quarter, is being developed by the Teighmore consortium, which comprise four Qatari banks and Sellar Property Group.
Two of the key remaining packages – M&E and concrete – have still not been let. John Doyle is being linked with the concrete deal while M&E will be split into a number of deals with MJN believed to be in the mix for part of the work.
Concrete and M&E have both gone over budget and main contractor Mace is hoping to get a final figure for the Shard by the end of the month.
It has traditionally carried a price tag of £350 million although Teighmore has said this could be less – depending on what is included in the price.
London Bridge Quarter managing director Bernard Ainsworth said the M&E and concrete packages were still being tied down: “Intensive discussions are continuing with a number of other contractors including concrete and MEP.”
Demolition contractor Keltbray is currently tearing down the existing building, which sits next to London Bridge railway station and is due to complete the work by the end of the year.
It is also carrying groundworks with Teighmore hoping Stent can begin work by January next year. Its backers want the 310 m high building built by spring 2012.
