CONTRACTS LEAGUE

LAING O'Rourke's aim of unseating Bovis Lend Lease from the top of the annual contracts league took a knock in September, when the firm failed to make the top 40.

Kier ran in second ahead of Balfour Beatty, which reinforced its chances of replacing Bovis Lend Lease at the top of the annual league once a host of large jobs drop out of the Anglo-Australian giant's total in the near future.
