Shiplee to take charge of HK job

AMEC Building director Howard Shiplee will be in charge of construction work at Hong Kongs new 800 million airport terminal at Chek Lap Kok.

The 1994 Building Manager of the Year, Mr Shiplee has been appointed project director, working for the British Chinese Japanese (BCJ) joint- venture.

Mr Shiplee said: This is a very exciting opportunity.

The Hong Kong terminal building is large and complex and the construction programme will be extremely demanding.

BCJ comprises Amec, Balfour Beatty, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Kumagai Gumi and the Maeda Corporation.
