Simons picked for £80m Neath revamp

Lincoln-based firm Simons Developments has secured an £80 million deal to redevelop Neath town centre in south Wales.

The mixed-use scheme will include 220,000 sq ft of retail space as well as leisure and residential units. The town's existing civic centre will be replaced with a central 'civic space'.

Managing director Dominic Hayes said: “Unlocking these mixed-use town centre schemes
is a complicated and long-term commitment. We are delighted to have been chosen by the local authority, in a scheme which will add to our growing presence in Wales.”
