Small firms' guide to best practices

Launches

SMALL firms seeking practical advice to improve their business can refer to an interactive CD-ROM from the Construction Best Practice Programme.

The CD-ROM, Construction Best Practice in Action, deals with four areas: winning work; project process planning; work-ing in the supply chain; and managing people.

It features video case studies of seven firms.

Users can also follow a self-assessment process which allows them to gauge their firm's current position and plan a programme of action.

Construction Best Practice in Action was developed with the Department of Trade andIndustry's Connect for Better Business programme, which is a series of interactive modules on CD-ROM giving guidance on management issues.
