Small hirers given forum

PLANT

THE CONSTRUCTION Plant Hire Association and the Construction Plant Competence Scheme are holding their first regional forum to give smaller plant companies the chance to air their views on a range of pressing issues.

On the table for discussion are topics such as the how to get a CPCS card, the renewal and assessment process and operators' logbooks. Also on the agenda are dealing with plant theft, meeting current and future legislation and an update on the vibration and diesel laws.

The event will feature the product manager of the CPCS scheme Mike Harvey, Trevor Gamble, plant hirer and board member of the CITB-ConstructionSkills and CPA chief executive Colin Wood.

The forum takes place in Birmingham at 8pm on June 16. For further information email: Haydn.Steele@cpa. uk. net.
