South west housing repairers sought

A group of south west housing associations and local authorities has invited tenders for up to £45 million of planned and reactive works to housing.

The work is through a framework contract valued at between £16m to 45m over four years. Westworks groups nine housing providers operating in south west England.

It wants to hear from firms that can provide planned, cyclical and ad hoc external works to its properties and which can act as main contractor within projects and use Westworks’ supply chains.

The main workstreams will be: general building works; groundwork; flat roofing; pitched roofing. Westworks intends to run mini-competitions prior to awarding call-off contracts from the framework and encourages small to medium and larger companies to participate.
