Southwark £13m housing job gets go-ahead

Planning permission has been secured for a £13 million Hexagon Housing Association development in Southwark.

The scheme will create 75 affordable homes and is being built by John Laing Partnership on the site of a former car park in Webber Street.

Incorporated in the project will be a number of green energy features including a community heating system; ground source heat pumps which extract heat from the ground and solar collectors that convert solar energy to supply hot water.
