Southwark £14m development gets green light

London developer Walworth Road has received planning permission for a £14 million development in Southwark, south-east London.

The proposed plans will see the construction of 54 flats, including affordable properties, and five business start-up units.

Solar hot water panels and ground-source heat pumps will make 12 per cent of the development’s energy. There will also be a greywater recycling system that reduces water usage by using waste water to flush toilets.
