MUNRO Mechanical Services has picked up a £500,000 contract to design- and-build mechanical and electrical services for Cantab at Cambridge Science Park.
SWIFT Brickwork has picked up a brickwork and blockwork package worth £650,000 from Balfour Beatty at Two Rivers Retail Park, Staines, Middlesex.
MAGHULL Structural Fixings has secured a £45,000 contract to install curtain walling for Heywood Williams Architectural at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
A DEPARTMENT of Fenwick's Store in Newcastle-pon-Tyne is being refurbished by Crown House Engineering at a cost of £400,000. The job includes air conditioning, mechanical and electrical services, and fire protection systems.
CANARY Wharf Contractors has awarded Wingate Electrical a £200,000, 117-week contract to supply, install, maintain, test and finally remove a temporary power and lighting distribution system at Citibank's headquarters under construction at Canary Wharf in London's Docklands.
FONDEDILE Foundations has secured a bridge upgrade contract worth £400,000 at Bunns Lane Bridge on the A1 near Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The contract was awarded by main contractor Murphy.
WILLIAM Matthews Building Services is installing air conditioning and electrical services at Victoria House, Birmingham. Lloyds TSB awarded the £410,000 contract which involves the conversion back to offices of one floor of the building.
Design & Fittings
SPECIALIST shopfitter Design & Fittings is carrying out £100,000 worth of installation work at a Pied Terre shoe shop at the Old Windsor Railway Station, Berkshire.
HADEN Young has secured a contract worth £3.5 million for mechanical and electrical services at the ambulatory care and diagnostic centre at Central Middlesex Hospital. The work is due for completion in July 1998.
Commercial Marine & Piling
COMMERCIAL Marine & Piling has undertaken a hire contract worth £40,000 for the supply of a 14-m telescopic piling leader rig, plus labour for Nuttall on the Blackpool South Shore defences project. The work involves driving more than 2,000 sheet steel piles.
CONCRETE Force has won a £150,000 drainage and external works package from Snowdon Bros as part of the redevelopment of the Blue Bell Inn at Eaglescliffe, Cleveland.
PERCO Engineering Services has picked up a £30,000 pipe bursting contract at Barnet, north London. The contract was let by Clearline, on behalf of Thames Water.
TREADMASTER, the Colchester-based specialist manufacturing and contracting company, has secured a £720,000 contract to refurbish both platforms at London's Limehouse Station.
